Kenya Digital Mission Trip for Married Couples - January 9, 16, 23, 2021

"410 AT HOME: A DIGITAL TRIP EXPERIENCE" This digital trip experience is a way to connect with the people and children in a 410 Bridge community in Kenya, right from your home! The goal is to pair couples from the US with couples in Kenya for an interactive virtual experience. Couples are mobilized through the local, indigenous churches with the purpose of learning what God says about marriage. Small teams will be composed of 2-5 couples from both the U.S and the community. The participating couples have the opportunity to engage in highly interactive, activity-based sessions. Every session is designed to engage the couples in simple, meaningful, and highly interactive activities. The 90-minute sessions will take place on three consecutive Saturday mornings when couples will work through a curriculum together, participate in interactive activities and Bible readings, and share a time of genuine prayer for one another. After each session, the team will debrief with a set of questions created by The 410 Bridge. 

The following excerpts are from the 410 Bridge "Virtual Mission Trip Marriage Group" Curriculum:

Session 1: Creation and Purpose in Marriage
"Marriage is designed by God. Marriage serves as a tool in our lives to help shape us. You will gain a better understanding of how your marriage can be all that God has created it to be!"

Session 2: Communication in Marriage
"God has brought each of you together for a purpose to fulfill his work. As you continue to grow in your marriage, healthy communication is vital for any relationship to be successful."

Session 3: Forgiveness & Love in Marriage
"Be reminded of the forgiveness and love that Christ has shown us. When we receive the forgiveness and love of Christ, we are able to forgive and love our spouse."

"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Ephesians 4:2-3

• This trip is open to Christ Journey Church members only. Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Missions Leadership Team.
• Team members must be a married couple. 
• Acceptance onto the team requires a non-refundable $65 fee.

• Has publicly professed faith in Jesus Christ through baptism
• Is a church member or has been approved by the Missions Leadership Team
• Is willing to be interviewed and/or receive recommendation of a Christ Journey Pastor or Missions Staff
