The Brazil 2024 mission team will serve alongside our mission partners A.M.O. Brazil as they minister to people in the favelas and surrounding communities in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The team will have the opportunity to visit several favela communities for activities with children, young teenage girls and boys. There will be opportunities for home visits in the favelas as organized by the mission partners. Other activities throughout the week will include Church services, evangelism training, local in-home Bible studies and work projects on the AMO Main Campus.
This is a trip for young adults 18 - 30 years old.

Important Information:
- All team members are to make their own decisions about vaccinations based on the CDC recommendations and consultation with a primary care or international travel physician. Vaccination expenses are the responsibility of the team member.
- Acceptance onto the team requires a non-refundable $250 deposit and all financial obligations for the trip are the responsibility of the team member.
- Failure to meet financial deadlines may result in cancellation of your spot on the team.
- This trip is open to Christ Journey Church members only. Exceptions to this policy must be approved by the Missions Committee.
- Team members must be at least 18 years old.
- This trip is considered a "Level 3: "Substantial Risk" Trip as determined by Christ Journey Church Missions
- "Substantial Risk" determination is due to issues such as: language barriers, challenging cross-cultural setting, few western amenities, marginal medical system, political unrest sometimes present, possible infectious disease, moderate physical activity

- Has publicly professed faith in Jesus Christ through baptism
- Is a church member or regular attender
- Has served as a volunteer at a Christ Journey City Serve or local mission project
- Has prior global mission trip experience with Christ Journey Church (preferred)
- Has received the recommendation of two Christian mentors or other Christ followers
- Is willing to be interviewed and/or receive recommendation of a Christ Journey Pastor or Missions Staff
- Is currently serving as a volunteer at Christ Journey Church or in the community
- Is willing to attend all team meetings
- Has a passport which is valid for at least six months past the date of trip

Forms
Medical Waiver & Parent Consent Forms Required
Forms must be completed, notarized and returned to the trip leader or to the Missions Office.
Medical Waiver must be completed by ALL Christ Journey mission trip team members.
Parent Consent form must be completed by the parent of a team member who will be unaccompanied and under 19 years old during a mission trip.
